Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Resilience Rise Retreat – a 3-day, 2-night immersive wellness experience for young people aged 12–17 years. These Terms & Conditions govern your participation and use of our services.

By booking a place for your child at Resilience Rise Retreat, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

Program Nature & Limitations

  • Resilience Rise Retreat is not a formal counselling or treatment service. While designed and facilitated by professionals with experience in mental health, including Child and Youth Mental Health Services, the retreat is not intended as a substitute for individual therapy, psychiatric care, or crisis intervention.

  • The retreat focuses on general wellbeing, emotional resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth through group activities, nature immersion, creative expression, and peer connection.

  • No diagnosis, clinical treatment, or therapeutic intervention will be provided during the retreat.

  • If your child has significant mental health concerns or is in active crisis, we encourage you to seek support through formal medical or psychological services prior to attending.

 Eligibility and Consent

  • This retreat is open to participants aged 12 to 17 years only.

  • All participants must have parental or legal guardian consent to attend.

  • By registering your child, you confirm that you are their parent/legal guardian and that all provided information is true and accurate.

  • You agree to disclose any relevant medical, psychological, or behavioural conditions that may impact the safety or wellbeing of your child or others during the retreat

Duty of Care and Supervision

  • The retreat will be facilitated by qualified professionals with appropriate working with children checks (WWCC), first aid certifications, and training in youth mental health.

  • While we take all reasonable steps to ensure participant safety, you acknowledge that participation in outdoor and group activities carries inherent risks.

  • Resilience Rise Retreat and its facilitators are not liable for injury, loss, or damage unless due to proven negligence.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

  • Information collected during registration (e.g., medical forms, contact details) will only be used for the purpose of program delivery and emergency contact.

  • Your child’s identity and personal details will never be shared without explicit consent, except where required by law or to protect their safety.

  • All staff are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.

Payment Policy

  • A full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your child’s place.

  • Payments are accepted via online payment gateway.

  • Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If you cancel your child’s booking more than 72 hours prior to the retreat start date, you are eligible for a full refund (less any transaction fees incurred).

  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the retreat start date are non-refundable, except in cases of medical emergency (evidence required).

  • If we must cancel or postpone the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bushfire, extreme weather, public health restrictions), you will be offered the choice of a full refund or transfer to a future date.

Behaviour and Participation

  • All participants are expected to behave respectfully and cooperatively.

  • We maintain a zero tolerance policy for bullying, violence, drug or alcohol use, or conduct that places self or others at risk.

  • If a participant’s behaviour is deemed unsafe or significantly disruptive, we may contact their parent/guardian to arrange early pickup. No refund will be issued in such cases.

Media Consent (Optional)

  • We may occasionally take photos or videos for promotional or educational purposes.

  • Media will only be used with explicit, prior written consent from the parent/guardian.

  • You may opt-out at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from participation in the retreat will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian consumer and child safety legislation.
